A very warm greeting from GenCorporate to everyone! As we set foot in the new academic term, we are excited to introduce our new central committee who put their hearts and souls to pull off a series of summer events in Malaysia in the past few months. Over the summer, GenCorporate has started its Malaysia chapter on the mission of empowering and connecting students across all study fields. In line with this, we are delighted to announce the relaunch of GenCorporate Speaker Series. Get ready to inspire and be inspired!

2. Summer Events in Malaysia

As a recap of our summer episode, GenCorporate had collaborated with KPMG Malaysia for a networking tea on 15th August 2019. The participants spent a great afternoon to gain in-depth insights from the sharing session by KPMG employees on their career journey in this renowned company.

 

Apart from that, in collaboration with Samsung Malaysia, GenCorporate delivered another fascinating event which included an inspiring talk by Mr Chen Fong Tuan, HR Director at Samsung, followed by a surprise impromptu talent show!

3. Introducing Our Malaysia Chapter

Over the summer, we expanded our recruitment to form a new branch in Malaysia, hoping to extend our reach to more Malaysian students who are enthusiastic and keen to explore their career paths while building strong network with one another. We wish to optimise our resources and serve as a connection point to bridge the gap between local students and companies.

4. Speaker Series: Dato' Sri Nazir Razak

Gencorporate is excited to relaunch the speaker series! We will kick off with a talk on ‘Realities of Doing Business in ASEAN’ by Dato’ Sri Nazir Razak, the Chairman of Ikhlas Capital.

5. Speaker Series:

    Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar

We are honoured to invite Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia to talk on ‘Purposeful Leadership and Sustainability’. Regarded as one of the most versatile corporate leaders in Malaysia, he was appointed as MD/CEO at UEM Group (2001-2004), Group CEO at Telekom Malaysia (2004-2008) and Maybank (2008-2013), Senator and Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (2013-2016) and Group Chairman for Permodalan Nasional Berhad (2016-2018).
